I want a nice Control Surface, preferably something expandable. I don't want to go with the cheapest nor most expensive. I'm looking for something "in between" but decent in quality. So far, I've been checking out the Mackie Control Universal Pro + the MCUproXT which is gonna run me around $1700.00, any suggestions in that price range?

The Mackie on is way to freakin loud. (the motors for the faders) It does not feel near as good and it uses ONLY the old HUI protocol. The euphnonix is ultra customizable, and does both HUI and the Eucon protocol (the future of control surfaces BTW) You can make buttons for that touch screen that do anything. Its not even the same world.

OK, serious question...The Euphonix only has 4 faders at a price where I could get 18 with the Mackie. The motors won't be an issue with me because I don't record anything with a mic at home (never will). 90% of the time that I'm making a beat, there is something going, TV, PS3 even other music. So I'm looking at a $1700 Mackie (18ch) -vs- a $2800 Euphonix (12ch) FOR WHAT IM DOING, is the Euphonix really worth the extra $1100? I mean we're talking a Control Surface.

No, trust me those loud motors get on your nerves fast!

Second, yes if you like control surfaces the euphonix IS $1100 better.

Third personally I hate control surfaces after owning about everyone I sold them off, I am faster and more precise with a mouse.
