Ok I have narrowed my choices of Digital Multi Track Recorders down to 2 different ones.

1. Yamaha AW16G Multitrack Recorder
2. Korg D1600 /16 Track Digital Recording Studio

If any of you have any knowledge or have herd anything about these 2 products feel free to provide me with input on why you recommend one over the other or your opinion on one that you think would be better than both of these in the same price range. Its a hard decision cause its alota money to spend to realize I would have been better off going with the other one so im gonna need to know opinions of people that use the equipment other than myself to get an idea of which way to lean.

A good way to knowif your review of the product you recommend is really up to par is asking yourself this one question. If some one stole it from you would you buy that piece of equipment again?

Thanks Ladies and Gents and all others as well!

i have a korg d1600 and i have mixed feelings about it. i like it alot but i've talked to alot of people that had the same problem i had. it broke down right after the warranty goes up. it seems there was a manufacturing flaw in alot of them where the circuitboards weren't soldered correctly. if you get one, i would take it to a shop while its under warranty and make sure everything is up to par

also the effects aren't as flexible as i want sometimes, but thats only when i want to layer alot of effects on one track.

overall its a good piece of equipment.

I'd go with a Roland 1680 or the Yamaha AWG16, I heard the Korg messes up on you. A friend of mine had problems with the Touch Screen. They got it fixed for free but who wants to go thru all that.
I got the 1680 and yes if it got stolen i would get another one, or the 2480 as a replacement.
