Connecting Mic -> Preamp -> Soundcard

lright, for some reason this thing isn't working for me. I just picked up a MXL 990, Bluetube Preamp, and I've had the EMU1212m. Here's how I got it.

MXL mic cord -> Input of microphone slot of Bluetube

And then from the Bluetube

Intrument cable in Output Unbalenced slot -> soundcard's In

And I'm workin with Sonar 4.

I mean I can hear myself when I'm not recording, but when I record something and play it back, no sound comes out.

that sounds like somethings wrong with your soundcard settings, its not recording the microphone - so go to your soundcard control panel - and look for something along that nature
