I don't know if anybody that's at the level of putting a song out has tried the College radio route but so far it's doing pretty good for us. We have a company that's doing the foot work for us and so far we've picked up descent rotation around the nation.

So far were getting spins in Alexandria L.A KJMH-Fm, North Drtmouth M.A WUMD FM 8, Will be in Waterville ME, Greenville NC WZMB FM 9, Claremore OK KRSC FM 91, Ashland WI WRNC FM 9, and Tucson AZ KAMP 92, St.

The single is called "That's that dude". Got some shows lined up for the spring as well.

Get your music to the College stations fam. They're the stepping stone to the major stations and there a bit more fun than the big boys. College kids are more accepting of new music and they like when you can take the time out to call them up for on air interviews and even even better when you can come through to chill with them on the air.

Nice man, thats wussup! Ive got a few spins before from my college radio station in the past but Ive never had anything official like a completed album to really push yet, just singles thus far. It does help get u a good deal of exposure for free tho.

i been waiting till i have a solid couple joints. Cant afford a company to help tho. Maybe u could write an article one day about the subject ldb,,,?

You can do it yourself.....it just takes persistence. We did the Atlanta area college circuit on our own but to go nationwide we employed a company. If you can get a nation wide college radio list of numbers and email address and can sit down and pester them a few hours a week you can get results. Basically you have to mass email them your music in mp3 form (radio edited of course) and then a week or two later email them or call to see if they've received it and if they've placed it into rotation. You'll be talking to peoples voice mail a lot but when you can't get them on the phone shoot them an email. Once they put it in regular rotation you don't have to call or email them as much but as long as they say it's in light rotation you have to stay on them. It's no diff't than what the majors have to do. They are calling and emailing the radio station weekly to make sure they're spinning there artist music.

It's like this, new songs only get added a couple times a month so once you've made the regular rotation you'll probably be there 6 months or more. Most of there shows are pre-programed unless it's a mix show. Mix shows are a bit harder because the DJ gets to play what ever they want. But then again, a mixshow dj is more inclined to drop something hot that's new. You just have to put in the work and bug these people. If you do it yourself pose as a company that's in the business of promotions and not as the artist!
