the idea of a video tutorial was brought up in another thread and since i was off today i whipped this up in 10 mintures, it just goes over the barebones basics of my lab and how i have everything set up

ITs bootlege as hell(since im recording and talking at the same time)
, but if yall are intersted(FADE) i will make a more detailed tutrial for the newbs(on a particular subject)

i made sure i put on my "proper" accent for the out of town folk

good video blud, one tip i would give would be to slide your MPC over into the middle of the two monitors on the table so you have a monitor on each side of your head. this is better for mixing etc..

Yea ive tried that, but then i find myself having to reach over my moniters to get to my keyboard and its unconfterable. I am going to invest and a "prodcuers desk" which sould clean everything up nicely

nice lil setup u got there. u should definitely invest in a bigger desk where u can put ur mp n keyboard as well as monitors n mixers all together along wit u computer. it looks to me like u standin alot when u makin beats. ha, ima lazy nigga, i need to sit down n take it all in. especially when im mixin, dats a bitch. but good look son.

Good video, I thought of making beat tutorials myself. My only advice would be to script it, or itemize your methods in sequencial order. I understood it only because I've done it before. Good look though.

Drop me an email and we can discuss it some more, as long as it's not a HUGE file, it shouldn't be a problem hosting it on here. I think your setup is fine how it is. If your comfortable with it right now, why spend the money on a new desk. The speaker setup was just kinda strange to me. I could live with that, but maybe if you wallmounted the speakers up, it would be cool.

You could build a desk yourself, and make it perfect for your setup, draw it out before you built it though hehehe. It is hard to get the right desk to fit for your setup out of the stores.

It would be nice to get tutorials for the various types of setups. I have a midi keyboard and use that with flstudio or a wave editing program, along with samples. I'd like to see some ill techniques from people who make beats like me.
