Haha yup. It's that time again. Not sure what to get though, I was thinkin of investing in some more sounds for myself, but I'm not fimilar with all the hardware/software sound modules. I was lookin into Sampletank but I've never used it before so I'm not sure about how the sounds are. I'm mainly lookin for some nice pianos, horns, strings, and bells. I'll be researching more myself.

check out Reason 3.0 man! Awesome sounds. And you can tweak the sounds so much. Plus its expanable with refills. I run reason with my mpc, and just use reason as a module...its so cool.

If you can afford gifts for your family and yourself you're lucky! (financially at least)

Sounds, and perhaps new speakers and a good soundcard.

Right now I'm got EMU 1212m and a set of Studiophile BX5s. I think I'm good with those for now, I just need some nice sounds.

but I'd say get some STUDIO monitors (looks like u koo on that tho), sampletank 2 XL with some expansion packs, E-mu Emulator X, Reason 3 with some choice refills, a mixer, some turn tables, some sound modules to build up ur actual rack.

Haha thanks for the list but I'm just talkin about gettin one thing, that's it. I don't think I'm gonna be needed a turntable for awhile cuz I don't sample. I'm mostly lookin for some sounds or monitors, but I don't know any good ones out there right now. I think I'm set with everything else for now.

FL Studio 5
M-Audio Keystation Pro 88
Motif Rack
AKAI MPD16
EMU 1212m
Studiophile BX5s
Plug-Ins

^That's what I got right now.

I agree with DJ Excellence.
