Chopping Samples In Fruityloops Without Using Cool Edit

okay in acid i can "chop" up loops (without having to use cool edit)...i can even load an mp3 for a track and cut the loop in acid by cutting the beginning of the loop and adjusting the tempo and pitch (without using cool edit...now i see how people say fl is so great...but is there a way to chop up loops without using cool edit or any other editing program

FruitySlicer should come with FL...

The slicer comes with it, and it works to a certain extent but you notice when you open up the real beat slicer app.....but you can trim the slices I read earlier but I can't remember who that said you cant but if you use the attack and decay settings you can take care of cliks and parts of the sample you don't want.....and I own the registered legit producer edition....the only extra piece I bought was the soundfont plugin...but the beaslicer application says demo, but that is so you can really do the same thing that recycle does, but if you have enuff space in your loop to chop then it works good without having open it up in the editor....prefer recycle and then I save as a soundfont or rexx file to use in Fruity Loops or Reason...

can somebody explain to me exactly what reason does...i keep hearin about it....i dunno for some reason i haven't found a program touching acid cuz i do so much shit with it

well it comes with a good collection of sounds for a start.

having said that there is almost nithing you can't do with FL.

I suggest getting a demo of either FL or Reason and dedicate a month on each program, to learn how to use it and see how it works, then decide which one you like the most then buy it.

is there anyway I can loop samples in FL studio's wave editor in the playlist window

the same way you do looping in Cool Edit and Acid Pro.

lmao well if you gotta ask dat then you might find it hard to use best stay witl fl but the samplers and recycle is what u need to use when it come to choppin up
