no you guys don't understand the question...I want to use my CD player as the source, record to my PC in mp3 format rather than WAV and having to convert it. It would seem that if the question was so 96 you would have questioned your understanding ....duh

edit: let me "dumb it down" (lmao) even more for you. I have a seperate CD player connected to my PC. I want to record on my PC but not in WAV, I want it straight to mp3....get it?

Well you cant actually record to MP3 as it HAS to record to wav and then convert. It could do it on the fly, but I have to ask why would you do it that way? Man thats slow, what not just rip the parts you want? Better quality and less errors.

@dp - im working on some top secret ish, I could tell you but then I would have to destroy you in the next "open" B! j/k

Im just trying to figure out a way of not using the space that a WAV file uses and not having to record and convert, especially when I know the end result is gonna be a mp3 file.

just kidding. however, you have so little hd space, you can't record to wav and then save as mp3? i don't know if it's even possible to record directly to mp3...

lmao mono! no it's not the space thats an issue...think about the entire process...ok first I have to record it to my PC, then I have to save it, then convert it which creates 2 of the same thing 1 wav, 1 mp3 , then I have to delete the WAV because I no longer need it, then upload the mp3.

@dp, it just doesn't make sense to you. ;)~
