i use various different software programs like wavelab, adobe auditition, cakewalk to adjust my levels before i do a final mixdown. how come i can export my beat from fL to say adobe audition and adjust the levels so my beat will be at -2db and then i can put that same beat into cakewalk or wavelab and it will show it's clipping but in adobe it says it's at -2db where i want my mix to be... any advice or tips? which program do i believe?- that kid rhymin' since the summer of 98'...

Some programs have an automatic gain on anything you import...

And some programs are just retarded like that, I think cubase makes my stuff -2dB when it's shown as 0... Sound forge always works to 0dB consistently for my though.
