I guess it is more showering accolades than being a how-to video. Certainly some click bait going on with this one.

I've noticed a few guys do this now. I just find it annoying. I did a video a while ago about Dilla's quantizing (or lack thereof) where I give actual examples. I guess I'm just tired of the clickbait stuff like those over the top thumbnails everywhere.

But Dilla was definitely ahead of his time. He brought in a different way of making beats because before him there was just a ton of samples being looped and not much chopping going on. He just knew how to manipulate samples.
