Blew up my triton

I tried to sample some issh off of TV on my Triton. I ran an audio Aux jack from the monitor outs on the TV to the input of the and it blew out my all my in and oust , smoke was coming out of it, what did I do wrong.
I've done this with a VCR plenty of times.

the output of the monitor of your TV might have some preamps to it and that's why it shorted it out... and your VCR didnt'...that preampre will possible do it....Sorry Reggie... what will it cost to fix it...

I fill for you SBoy, Check the warrenty all your products. This is the only way it pays to be new to the game. I always sample through my vcr if I'm doing something like that, glad you told me, cause I got cable on demand and one day I just might have done something stupid to blow up my stuff, thankx for walking threw the mine field before me. Man I'm sick, as hell right now,
The electronic store is saying its 70 dollars a hour to fix and they don;t know how long it will take to fix. 2 or 3 hours, I might should have known something was wrong when it shocked me before I plugged it in.
I;ma just work with my MPC which I been neglecting since I got the triton until I get it fixed, FUUUUUCCCCKKKK!!!!!!!

theres no reason the TV is to blame unless it is faulty.

consumer audio gear all have similar ratings and even if it were at +4 it wouldnt be a problem.

faulty tv or bad bad luck...
