BLENDING!!! with dacalion

So I got this email from youtube saying that some of the content used in my "Blending" video was owned by EMI publishing. It said that no actions are required on my part but to keep checking back because rules change. Rather than doing that, I just decided to remove the video and post a mental sticky in the back of my brain that basically says "fuk EMI!" So, from now on...I'm gonna use either ish that we make on ill or some of my own personal material. EMI can $^<& #! @!<&.

Its better that way anyway!

We need a hub right here on ILL where we can upload vids and post links to them in threads. We need to keep them "in house" so we don't have to worry about "the bullshit".


p.s. the labels are the ones that have "robb'd" artist of there royalities...not the common man..they should be ashamed. Wasn't like u were "sellig" the blending video. Maybe if u put in text over the video at the beginning and the end a disclaimer that the songs used are not yours and reamain the property of the label and or publishing company they'll be o.k with it.

I think part of the prob is, they have recognition software that picks it out.

Theres some underground vid services that are still "safe" lol, we could use those if Fade doesnt want to go that far too

Yeah youtube said that they would probably put an ad on the video but I'd rather just take it down to avoid any confusion, besides, if they are gonna be dicks on that level then I don't want any affiliations with there ish...I know it's to protect their artist but c'mon...a youtube tutorial video? Fuggem! If it were Pioneer saying that since I was using their decks then OK but a company tripping over it's music being used like I did is some bull ish! Double Fuggem!

I like the "in house" idea alot, that would be super cool.
