Man listen. Busta was straight nuking every verse and remix he got on at that time. You ain't lying about that. Yea the old days of going to the record store which was a joint called DJ"s here, getting the tape, cracking it open in the car before you left the store let it run and read the shout outs and credits and like you said the great albums you didn't have to touch rewind or fast forward. Low end theory, illmatic, The coming purple tape, reasonable doubt doggystyle,The chronic etcYean man same here, these were my jams, back when you could listen to an album from front to back and not skip a track. Those were also the days that Busta murdered everything he touched.

To be more precise this is when everything got played all as hip hop. You had ur happy rap like UMC's you had jazzy hip hop like Tribe, you had ur purist form of rap like illmatic, you had the hardcore like Onyx, You had revolutionary rap like Public enemy, you had the alternative rap like PM dawn whom i didn't like but it was okay because everybody was getting spins on regular radio and yes the DJ's broke records. They spun the new toons and the people controlled what was in rotation not like today where there is a formula and all the corporations who have ownership of the lables dictate to the artist what is in because its now a billion dolllar industry. no shade cuz i understand big buisness and artist are able to make tremendous income now but it was a great time. This was back when A&Rs let artists be themselves unless I'm wrong. Back when DJs were tastemakers. Back when remixes had guest appearances that served the song.
That is true. the 360 deal has def wrecked a bunch of artists. It @SwayeeBoogie seems financially today artists still get screwed via the 360 deal which has been a thing since 2008 but back further possibly since 1995 as Stretch of Live Squad was the first rapper to be offered one, either way, 360s are questionable.
This was always my favorite from Busta. My friends and I were freaking out when this first hit:

yeah the 360 is fucked up, artists at least had an opportunity to make some money through shows and merchandising. Now the label wants a piece of it all, its greed like that that sucks the incentive to be creative out of anythingIt @SwayeeBoogie seems financially today artists still get screwed via the 360 deal which has been a thing since 2008 but back further possibly since 1995 as Stretch of Live Squad was the first rapper to be offered one, either way, 360s are questionable.
