Biggie's juicy song

First of all sorry for my english, I am from Israel...
I have a quastion about Biggies juicy song production. Yesterday I listened to the original song (mtume - juicy fruite) and i just cann't understand how the hell the producer succsseded to separate all the layers!!! I can't recreate this using only eq, maybe i missing some important technick?

You're not gonna recreate that by just using eq. The beatmaker just took certain parts of the song and sampled it. Chopped up the sample and looped the different parts in the beat.

i've got the track but can't be bothered to see if i can make the B.I.G version right now but being that it was produced by puffy ( i think ) it oculd well have just been replayed !

there is an extended remix instrumental where the instruments breakdown and the beat drops in and out. Its like 12 minutes long.
