Thanks in advance to anyone that can tackle this.

I have an MPC 1000 and Acid Pro 7.

My goal is to remix hip hop videos by adding my own beat.

I would take the video, eq to remove the lows.

I would like the mpc and video to lock.

what is the best way to go about this?

I tried midi....mpc to acid using the clock.

When I press start on Acid, it should trigger the mpc. However, that did not work.

Best way would prob be record ur track to a audio track .... Then add video and pitch the video to match beat .... Thats what I would think is best way

PS
If u wana sync the MPC u would have to have the BPM of acid set to the video BPM and then use acid to control MPC

ah ok. Record the tracks of my mpc to match the beat of the video in real time??? Manipulating the tempo of the video as necessary. I will try that. I tried the second way but I could not get the clocks to talk to each other.

Thanks Yo!

Peace!

ummm... could you not just open up the music video in a video editing program and chop out the audio portion completely?

Thanks for all of your feedback. I want to basically use the pella of the song (video).
Similar to what cook'n soul is doing.
The problem is, pellas are not easy to find now is why I have to remove the lows.
I can calculate the video tempo using acid 7 beat mapping wizard.

Thanks again!

I'm basically a video DJ, I make Acapella Videos all the time so I can mix various instrumentals with them.

I use Sony Vegas to remove the audio from the video by muting it then rendering the video.

Why are you trying to change the tempo? The best way to do a remix is to find the tempo of the original song and make your beat accordingly. It's much easier to get everything sync'd and arranged properly like that. I think you should do that first and worry about adjusting the tempo when the remix is done. Your way is too much work and can't be accomplished with the tools you're trying to use and actually unnecessary in my opinion.

I can calculate the video tempo using acid 7 beat mapping wizard.

You need to be getting the tempo of the actual song....not the video!
