Better vocals in FL studio?

So I'm starting to rap / sing, and I need to get my vocals better. Any hints from someone who knows how to do this?

First off you need to use Edirol to record properly with FL Studio. Put Edirol on your recording channel on mixer and start recording on Edirol. You will also need to learn how to EQ and Compress atleast.
