best ways to have my music used for Film & games?

sup people, are there specific agencies that specialise in this? or is it the same route as record companies,management, and publishing?

i was at a major event recently and some guy came on stage and announced he was a consultant blah blah for things like this, and we shoudl contact him. ive done so, and many many times for that matter, same complaints from others who were there, the man hasnt responded to anyone. we havent even been able to send him any stuff so its not like its bcos he dont liek our stuff.

so why are people so full of BS?? of his own accord he made an announcement *hiss*

well that was wack of him. Well i dont know about agencies, but i would think its the same a record companies. I have a friend who specialises in ambient sounds an texture and the way he got his foot in was by starting a project with a couple of friends. they would make amateur movies or documentaries and he would do the soundtrack. he then sent the project to a big head and voila.

i also know you go on some job sites like jobboom.ca and apply for jobs in games and movie companies.

thats an avenue. any one got others ideas?

Another site thats good for that is Taxi.com.

They have a lot of classified ads requesting music just for video games and movies. A lot of television stuff too.

Ok. here's the deal you can go directly to the game companies them self... they have a job site just for stuff like that.... EA Sports is always looking for people be the competition is tough and neck slashing in that world... 1 min u have a job. 2 sec.s later they're closing down the whole branch and firing... 20G of workers and what not.... and its not a big deal.... also the agency u're looking for is called "G.A.N.G ", but u have to be a professional w/ professional projects under your belt....

I hope this site help you out on your quest... but dont forget even famous hiphop producers get ask to do soundtrack for game like "just blaze" w/ no experience in that type of production what so ever...
