i took an online course for business math and it was terrible,it sucks, you basically have to teach yourself. i think youd be better off if you found either found a school that had hands on envirement or just buy books and teach yourself ,thats basically what youd be doing anyway,teaching yourself.

dog, why the hell would u spend money on something u can do by yourself. ALl that stuff is standard learning for most hip hop producers. Save your money and buy gear or something or learn an actual instrament. Most of that stuff cats can easily learn on their own.......... Plus online courses are baslically self learning anyway, just get the circulum and study those topics yourself.

well actually its a school 2hrsaway from my crib maybe a lil closer not to sure. but here's my choices

Go back to college,on-line course(which we all agree seems to be a waste),or try out this audio school Here in Ohio. my mixes arent bad,i guess i would like to just tighten' up my game. ya dig. shit i dont need to be taught how to make beats,just some shit i have a hard time getting out my head and on to wax. but oh well trial and error.

id go to the audio school in ohio man, if your talkin about berkley in boston that has the online course thats kinda stale that they would even offer that. for 1000 bucks you can pay for four calsses and be a full time student at bunker hill community college in charlestown, they have a serious pro tools setup there and the teacher knows his shit. they say this online course shit is the wave of the futer education but i think its a scam. UNLESS you are pursuing a degree at berkley , then maybe that class can take care of some credits on your course list. but i wouldnt take it just for the sake of takin it

It is like 5th music forum I have noticed this.


Anyway I am berklee student, however you wont get straight opinion about this online school from me. Think however what I've said above and make your own choice.

wow, 7 yr old thread, thats whats good, thanks for the offer, i never did make it to the school, had another child,bills, Bush....lol but im makin progress. Learn alot here and a few other places, crossed over to the dark side ( Pro Tools) and finally have some brothas that love this for the music,and not the skinny jeans lmao.ill post a few tracks i'd like some input. thanks again for pullin this up!

i tried the home learning to get my a-plus. the thing is that you have to be super dedicated. i had so many distractions. that was before i closed the studio. i would be in the studio til 3 or 4 am. had to go to work and i wasnt tryin to come home to do school work. it was a whole lot easier when i actually had to go to a class. but then that was for climate engineering. a lot more fun in my opinion
