I give feedback on literally all the beats and your take from that is that I don't like the middle eastern vibe?

You literally expressed dislike of middle eastern vibes.

You also literally didn't feedback all beats, mine you gave joke instead.

And that's literally all my middle eastern reference was - a joke!!

Literally nothing i said was with ill-feeling.

Like I mentioned in the thread about changing the system, let's figure something out. I laid out many options but it went nowhere because it seemed everyone was on a different page. If we can all agree on something, let's do it. Until then we keep the current system.

Here's the thread if you guys want to keep the ideas flowing: https://www.illmuzik.com/threads/beat-this-voting-changes.40871/

But let's do it in a reasonable way. I don't know of any other ways to suggest making changes. I already gave detailed examples if anyone wants to check those posts.

So? I gave lots of feedback.

For your beat I was joking if you had any complaints now since you placed this time. Because you've been doing nothing but complaining the past few battles!

I'm just saying there's no reason to bring these things up. Do you want me to give a detailed review of each beat? I can review yours in detail if you want. I still gave a review of each but not yours and it's like you're all upset. Dude, you always have some bone to pick for some reason it's ridiculous. I know the battles are serious for some guys but c'mon just move on and stop picking at little things.

i personally don't care about winning i really like the competition...i have to step my game up a little bit more to get attention in the BEAT THIS Comp. but winning won't be a concern for me for a few more months, i'm just taking @2GooD Productions advice for the newbies like myself to participate in the easier competitions..like BEAT IT UP, BEAT FIGHTS, AND ATOB..less competitors and you don't have to feel obsolete..and it can also be a great confidence gainer...there is a winning formula and i will figure it out..besides that's what i do "crack codes" & bones!!!!!..4 reals

Bruh wtf?!

I literally came out and gave you props for giving people feedback immediately. How in anway is that sayinf i expect you to give detailed feedback on anything - i praised the fucking fact you did it at all.

I know you was joking - I took it as such. Even check my previous messages/reactions.

You bantered me about 'any complaints?' So when peoplewere discussing what theme i bantered you saying "this theme to annoy Fade". It was like for like friendly banter. Hence the dumb emoji just to make that even clearer.

Dunno why certain man are trying to do somersaults to twist everything i say into something else.

But it's, cool, w/e.

Can we just agree the next theme will be scratching?? And if you dont know how to do that. Fucking go and learn it! It's like the most basic thing in making hip hop beats anyway and there is lots of free plugins to do it digitally if you don't have a turn table

It's not giving out prizes for participation. That analogy doesn't bear any relevance.

No ones saying give prizes to everyone or bottom placed. They're saying give credit to the top beats.

It's more accurate votes. I can imagine there being less votes than entries.
Beat this has a massive number of voting options but probably has the lowest ratio of votes.

Imagine there's 29 beats only 10 people vote. Hows that reflective?

Still ONLY 5 PEOPLE WOULD PLACE. and they would be THE MOST VOTED FOR BEATS. Hows that anything to do with "participation prizes" ?????? It's literally the same thing just more accurate.
but the top beats already get credit, if you want to give extra credit to people send them a dm if you feel so bad about not being able to vote for more than one person

you are the one that said you feel bad for not being able to vote for more than one person, so dm them instead and tell them how bad you feel, problem solved

It's never been about me, more about wanting people who deserve votes to get em.

Same for placing or whatever, nothingto do with faith inself, just to do with what i want to be doing or not. And i don't really wanna be making the stuff i have that's placed.

The people that deserve votes get them. What are you asking for "participation prizes"?

If you dont want to make the beats that place then carry on doing the beats you want to make and stop whining every battle, it gets old very quickly.

If its so bad then just dont battle mate, thats all I can say.
You placed this time and still want to keep going on about multiple votes. Anything more than voting for a winner is a participation vote, however you want to wrap it up.
If there are never enough votes to decide a winner and runner ups then it becomes a problem and that is for Fade to decide if its necessary. But until then there really isnt a problem. I havent seen a beat that should never have won, win. Unless they cheated and got their friends to vote, or it wasnt their beat in the first place.
We are all the judges, we decide who wins and who loses with our votes, thats the way it is. We all have different tastes and always will. Its not even that serious, the whole thing is just for points. Its meant to be fun, but the whining after every battle takes the fun out of it, it rains on the parade of whoever won.

Dunno why certain man are trying to do somersaults to twist everything i say into something else.

All Ive done is try to persuade you to keep taking part in the battles, and every time I suggest something you have another excuse, its almost got to the point that sometimes I feel like you are trolling. When the whole 3 or 5 votes thing was discussed you decided 4 was a good number, why, if not just to be difficult?

The bottom line is that there is a formula to winning a beat BATTLE, the key is in the word BATTLE, if you dont want to follow the formula then dont, but dont whine when you dont win or place.

If you want to win then make a battle beat, it doesnt get any simpler than that.

"I dont fit in here", Thats entirely up to you, we welcome everybody
"I definitely would place if there was multiple votes" what makes you so sure about that?
"Im never battling anymore" yet here you are.
"Twisting everything I say" I dont twist anything, but I do pick up on recurring themes, like whining after every battle, making the winners feel like they shouldnt have won, because somebody cant take losing.

Im just keeping it real, there will always be winners and losers, which one you are is entirely on your own shoulders and not anybody elses.
Ive tried to be really helpful to you, I offered to do a discord collaboration so I can talk you through the mixing process, Ive also invited you to the studio so that I can show you in person, I just want to help you be better tomorrow than you are today, I have no animosity and want us all to be the best hip hop producers in the world. But we arent all battle beat makers, some styles just will not win a battle, thats the cold hard reality.
We are all on the same path, some are just starting out and some are a lot more seasoned like myself.
I have a lot of advice and experience to pass on to anybody that wants it, my track record here speaks for itself.
Whether people want to take the advice I give freely for the benefit of hip hop is up to them. They can take it or leave it, I can share my point of view as somebody that wins a lot of battles, what it takes to win them.
Its just my one opinion, but its based on 26 years of experience, and very soon I will be the all time number one on illmuzik, the longest running beat battle site on the internet, im just 35 points away from it I think and Ive done it without ever cheating, all by myself. Now whether you want to take my advice or not is entirely up to you, but please, just stop whining after every battle.

I changed my mind. @Iron Keys no more about changing this and that. It is what it is. We've been doing Beat This since 2003 and have changed the voting format numerous times and right now it's good. As I mentioned before, I offered many variations that we could do but it's hard to decide on one so we're keeping the voting as it is. It works. How hard is it to do? You vote for the best beat, that's it. If you can't decide between 2 or 3 beats, then force yourself to decide. I do it all the time. I always narrow it down to 2 or 3 beats and then I pick one.

The way you're saying it is "oh I really can't decide, hey let's change how this whole voting thing works".

I do have to agree with @2GooD Productions that at this point it's like you're trolling. This is why I responded to you last night like that because this is just stupid now and you should know that.

So let's move on and if you want to go on and on still about how things need to change that's up to you but I'm not hearing it. The voting works fine. If you don't like the voting system then don't enter the Beat This.

2GooD Productions RAGE MODE ON!!! :woot::woot::woot:

Not everytime battle beats win. For example this time majority of runner-ups submitted very smooth beats that didn't qualify even remotely to be considered battle beats. There is no rule to that. However, I do agree that this voting change thing is getting more and more hilarious.

I feel like that middle child who's always trying to say something important, but no one's listening because they're to busy arguing over stuff that really doesn't matter that much.
So I'm just going to shut up now and go and make a beat. Then you guys can tare each other's heads of and I guess we'll just have to find out some other time what the next theme is going to be

There are always exceptions to the rule but if you aim generally for a more aggressive battle type beat then you are far more likely to win. It takes a really slick smooth beat to beat an aggressive battle beat, and yes it happens, its happened to me, but when it comes to weighing up the odds, the harder hitting beat usually takes the win. And by harder hitting, I dont mean how loud it is hahahaha, I mean the emotion and feel of the beat.
Im not raging, I just want to help people, the best way to help a producer is to help them help themselves. But then I wonder if everybody even wants to be helped. The whole vote changing thing has become ridiculous at this point, alot of work that wont really achieve anything different. And all because somebody cannot make up their mind on a winner. Yes sometimes its hard to choose, thats the very reason the voting guidelines exist and iron keys doesnt want to follow those, but...

LMFAO now getting accused of trolling. Wow.

OTHER PEOPLE brought up the issue about voting.

FADE made the thread about voting.

All i fucking did was give my input just like everybodyfucking else. And shit i said was in tandem with several others.

All I've done since i returned is contribute - i even posted fairly frequently feedback in the showcase without asking anythingin return.

But like i said. Cool, i can see what's up.

Since when do i not follow the guidelines??? Yet more propaganda.

I vote for what i think the best* beat is. I voted for Primz and he placed.

*out of 6 best beats they all equal on th3 criteria for me
you told me yourself you dont follow the voting guidelines and have your own criteria for voting.
I can only go by the things you say yourself. Its not like that conversation never happened.
I dont know why voting has to be so difficult, you have to just choose one beat. One beat that tips it in their favour. Sometimes you have to choose between two or three beats are are very good for different reasons, sometimes you might regret your decision, but it doesnt really matter at the end of the day because we are just trying to have some fun while pitting our beats against others to see how they fare in a battle environment. Fun is the key word, and as long as the better beats are winning, cheating is minimized and people are having fun then its all good.

"If it aint broke, dont fix it" Thats all Im trying to say, I just want to get back to having fun.
It doesnt need to be complicated.
If you feel the need to express some love for their beat in a battle then give them some feedback and explain your dilemma to them, or dm them and explain it there, aint no rules against that.
Im tired of the whole voting debate now, it wont change anything and isnt worth wasting time on until its an issue that needs addressing. Im also tired of people taking something that is for fun far too seriously.
Can we not just get back to having some fun?

How many on average vote in beat this anyway? Just curious.
probably around about the same amount that compete, give or take a few. In reality its hard to get people who dont have a direct investment in something to take part in it these days. Some do, but most dont I would assume. I think anywhere from about 15 to 20+ people vote.
As for hostility, I dont think Im being at all hostile. Im stoned as fuck, I could probably do with getting laid, but that aside, Im not asking for anybody to be banned or anything stupid like that, I just want to move on from the voting debate. And I dont want to see people feeling publicly sorry for themselves after losing a battle.
In the words of Jeru The Damaja when you do that...

Seriously, no animosity here, we are family here, and sometimes things need to be said that dont go down well, but are said with the best of intentions. Anyone with kids will understand.
