"All great works are built off stolen ideas" aka learn from the past and build

I dont know about Warren Buffet but Nothing about Jay was to unique: He stole his name, the ryhme scheme was common (Triplets), and he didnt oppose auto tune untill it had already died down considerably. Not to mention selling out (which some may say is bad/good) Jay just survived long enough to be appreciated and grow.

Its those that grow and build on the standard that achieve. Thats how you differentiate. No one is totally original, this applies to anyone/entity successful

Warren Buffet, son of successful investment banker. He was going to be rich from the day he was born. He is no rag to riches story, just shows what influential parents and good connections can achieve.
Jay Z, I thought he sold out right about here...

Man I loved that song...I see both sides with Jay Z. I mean it's hard to make millions and millions of dollars and stay ghetto and I mean ghetto not only as a lifestyle but everything including his lyrical content and music (which makes him a sellout) so whats his options after the money comes in? Technically, he can't continue to rap about whats good in the hood when he hasn't lived a hood life for decades, that would make him a hypocrite yet if he changes what he raps about and goes mainstream, then he's a sellout.

On the otherhand, there's nothing original about Jay Z. He bites, he jacks, he even took over a business that wasn't solely his from the beginning. That was the ultimate jack! You can say that is because he was a good businessman or you can just as easily say he's a backstabing mofo.

Not true.

The very fact his father was who he was put him ahead of almost anyone else in the state...
Let alone in the country , or are you saying that Jesse Helms kids didnt have an advantage over Tashika Graham's kids?
That concept there dude doesnt make sense what you had had just said..

It a cut throat game once you bite someone you gotta enhance it. Perfect example (yes this just a small example)

Cell phone companies whenever Apple comes out with a new phone Samsung banks. They are smaller and get to keep more of their profits. Apple makes its small during the 1st 2 years of release samsung catches the profits for 4-5.

Fast food chains do the same thing there isn't one business that ddoes. They see what works they incorporate that idea. Being 100% original is great but within a few years time it's back to the drawing board unless you're willing to take your comps ideas and embed you to keep you on top

When your on top and the little guys are pushing forward in the trends you have to as well or get left

prime example Blockbusters

Warren Buffets father was more a politician than anything else. Warren made ALL his money on his own steam.

firstly, so you are telling me politicians are not well connected?
but secondly, I watched the interview with Jay Z and Warren Buffet, and it was Warren that said himself, that his father was an investment banker that got him a well placed position in an investment banking firm. Maybe you should get in touch with Warren and tell him hes wrong. By my calculations getting placed in a good investment firm is quite a fucking huge opportunity, but what do I know?
If you stopped hanging from Buffets testicles for five minutes you might see the wood for the trees.

LMAO

that got him a well placed position in an investment banking firm

Warren was in elementary school when his father was an investment banker, Warren said he visited work with his father and became fascinated with stocks at a young age. The ONLY firm Buffet was ever in was one with his mentor Ben Graham. Warrens father had nothing to do with it. Warren was a millionaire before he was 30, but he started with a paper route. Then Warren left wall street (and the firm) and stared his own investment company. In the interview you reference he talks a bunch about independent thinking.

Maybe you should stop hating a read up a little.

Oh a BTW here is the video, better watch it again

If you honestly think that strings werent pulled for Warren to get into that position in the first place, then you truly are deluded and dont understand how the world works.
If you think the rags to riches tales of the USA are so widespread then why is Jay Z one of the very rare exceptions to the white corporate america norm.
The land of opportunity bullshit is just that, bullshit.
Its all a big dream for us stupid people to buy into.
There are the haves and the have nots, if you want to see how the gap between the rich and poor has grown, just go look it up...
Heres one fairly recent example..
http://rt.com/usa/news/gap-rich-poor-widens/

Here in the UK there is hardly a single politician that didnt go to a public school with term costs being more than the average persons yearly wage. The system in the so called democratic UK...
We have a government nobody voted for, with no manifesto.
The top jobs ONLY go to those that had a public school education, the system of grammar schools and unions that gave a route for the working man to get into important jobs has been taken away.
The ruling elite remain the ruling elite, becoming ever detatched from reality, the gap between rich and poor forever grows.
I havent deeply studied the USA's regime, but I sure as hell know that its not proportional representation of the masses with people that actually represent them in government. Thats just the way the world works, its all privelidge and favours of the ruling elite. Everything else is a lie to keep us docile and not rebel.
Thats why we have entertainment shoved down our throats at every opportunity, and thats what allows people like Jay Z to get into Forbes magazine.

Ill tell you now, Warrens father did pull strings regardless of what you think or not.
If he didnt then what sort of father would he have been?

What strings did his father pull?

Warrens father was a staunch Republican and Warren is a Democrat. They disagreed on politics. Warren had no interest in meeting politicians. Warren was making more money than his father pretty much right out of high school. Warren did not NEED strings pulled.

Honestly you are going on conjecturer and assumptions, please actually read a little bit about Buffet to get educated. The best one I have read is this one.

On your other comments

Is the government crap in the US, yea. Is there poverty, yea (of course we have enough money to feed and house our poor unlike other countries)

Is leaving poverty and becoming rich tough? oh yea!

Is the US the BEST place in the world to leave poverty and become rich? Absolutely.

Is capitalism perfect? No way! But it is the MOST fair system in the world.

Next on those Jay-Z videos posted earlier. I really don't see how that makes him a sell out at all. Explain please.

I would also challenge anyone who dislikes capitalism to put there money where there mouth is and release all there beats and music for free. Never charge a dim for design or production services. It's just one step closer to being the man anyway.

Any takers?

Ever seen Chuck D dancing with hot chicks in PE videos?

His music had nothing to do with hot chicks.

(ie: see "Fight the Power", "911 is a joke", and/or "By the time I get to Arizona").

PE's music had nothing to do with swag or bravado but more geared towards civil rights and civil liberties, so I don't think it's a good comparison..

I bet you Chuck D was dancing with hot chicks after shooting the videos, though.

It's not about selling out, but becoming relevant and finding a formula that works and using that formula as long as the success lasts. Mr. Buffet explains it as well.

And a lot of people want to be like Jay-Z, now..not because of just the music, but because of the success. His success isn't just putting out records, anymore.
