Bass Question

Aight I'm having a lil problem with my bass, I want to beef it up but I'm having an issue with it. I added lows and a lilbit of the mid when eqing but i still cant get it beefed up, Tips anyone?

Do you have a good bass sample or patch to start with?
If your bass is shit to start with, no EQ or compressing will fix it.

Waves Maxbass. Beware if you don't have good monitors to reference it though, you will think it's hot, but you'll have too much low end that your mix will sound like shit -- it will kill normal speakers.

What type of bass are you trying to make? A sine wave bass drop? A bass guitar line? A bass-synth line with "glub" on it. Give us information or tell us what it is a sample of. Different compression, limiter and notch EQs are used with different bass variables. Impossible to just say: "use this setting."
