i have my bassline on my track and im trying to add one of those deep heavy bassnotes at the start of each bar. the one that makes the place vibrate n shit.

problem is that when i put that stomper bass in there, it conflicts with the bassline and created a wobbling effect with mixed tones. sounds completely fucked up.

i want it so my bassline plays clearly and the stomper deep bass note on top of it plays clearly too.

get my?

thanks for the help

THE FREQUENCY OF YOUR LOW BASS IS DISTRURBING THE FREQUENCY OF THE BASSLINE TO THE POINT WHERE THE TWO CANNOT COEXIST. ITS PROBABLY A MATTER OF NOTES AND PITCH. TRY TO MATCH UP THE PITCH OF THE TWO BASSES AS BEST YOU CAN. MAKE THE BASSES COMPLIMENT EACH OTHER INSTEAD OF CONFLICTING BY FOCUSING ON CHORDS. ONCE YOU GET THE CORRECT CHORD THEN YOUR BASSES WONT SOUND SO DISTORTED WHEN PLAYED TOGETHER.

hmm, how about trying out different eq positions with a broadband graphical equalizer ??? or a bit of slight reverb on the bassline, to give it some more room ?? gotta be patient with that kind of work

Keep ya bass mono and turn the gain down ( simply watch your VU readings ). Dont use enhancers for bass or stereo.

You can also use a multiband compression for both the thumping kick and the bassline.
