Ayo i finally started really fucking with this machine. But 1 thing i cant figure out: Can you set the bars to different numbers for each track? LIke, can i set track 1 to loop at 4 bars and track 2 to loop at 8? I dont see why they wouldnt make this possible. My motif does that shit. Anyway, help a nigga out if you know how to do this. Easy.

nah, the track can only have as many bars as the sequence, theres a easy way to do whut u wanan do tho. say u got a 4 bar sequence, and u wanna lay a 6 bar track over it. go to another sequnce and make it six bars, then go in song mode and overlay the 6 bar sequence over the 4 bar one. its pretty similar to fruity loops, if uve ever used that, and im assumin yur usin the mpc1k

Aight word. Yea im using the 1k. yo, another question: say i load a bass sound. if i want to make a bassline, im just changing the pitch on different tracks and recording each sound on a new track. is there an easier way to do this?

ya theres a much easier way, u can hit the 16 levels button, hit the pad wit the bass sample, then scroll to tune with the data wheel, then click f5(turnon) that will pitch that bass sample at 16 diffrent pitches across all yur pads, this shit works best when u have the sample set to ''note on'' cuz u usually dont want the whole sample to play out when yur makin basslines. if u got more ?s bout the 1k u can hit me up on aim too
