i noticed that the audio coming from my pc starts buggin out every once in awhile. i had a simular problem awhile back, open my comp case and had a wire from another pci device touching my sound cards pci. but now shits just bugging for no reason.. it really started to act up on me when i was using winamp to listen to the battle that stuff..

anybody else ever had a simular problem? its like the audio is fine then it getts real buzzy then goes back.

thanks,

el the only thing that I can think of as a possibility is...

Those lines that you see on the backside of most boards are called the foil, it can hairline fracture or crack so small that you can't even hope on finding one but a sure sign is...when your computer heats up, it will seperate because heat makes a board expand, when it cools down it will retract and everything will be ok until the temperature raises again. Sometimes it will be something small like what youve described or sometimes it could stop working completely. Its just one of those things that you'll come out better to just replace the sound card.

Another possibility is dust but if youve already removed the cover, Im sure you would have checked that out.

Im far from being a computer tech, but this is something I've seen before and thought I might share it with you.

One other possibility is your contacts in your volume control button, if they get dust or humidity on them, it could possibly do the same thing as youre describing.

well................. i installed my new audio card and it was still doing the same thing.. so either i picked up soemthing off the internet and it has my comp bugging or i have a device conflict... so,,, just to be safe im going to re-boot my os from scratch and then see from there.. i hate re-booting it takes forever. makes me want to have a comp strictly for the net and then have my audio comp seperate like i had before, i didnt have any problems then!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
