Protools is sick, I have used it for 3 years and still learning, a studio worked in used TDM now thats the real stuff but thats what made me get LE, there is a whole lot in this program and some amazing features you will not find on a lot of other programs, the new version 6.7 is out but, I have just gotten 6.4, to really tap into it....the mbox is cool but it doesn't do the program justice if they had made it with more inputs that would be the piece I would buy....are you getting 001 or 002?.....you get 8 audio inputs and a stereo digital input.....it rocks....you need to get other plugins but I love protools.

Don't buy a 001 its no longer supported by Digidesign.

Each product had a purpose and a demographic in mind when they were designed. The Mbox is great for what I do. I work primarily on my laptop and oxygen keyboard. The Mbox allows me to have a portable studio. Yo, I've done some sick shit on the train.

As reason has few effects and no recording possiblities (which is the prog. I use to make beats in), I bought PT for mixing, applying effects and recording vocals, and for that purpose I am very satisfied.

Pro tools!!! Industry Standard!! I love my MBOX...I do all my Post production at home an when im ready, I take my Pro tools File/reel to a nice mixing studio and BAM!! it comes up the way I left it...then I just start mixing down!! of course if its not a special client or Project....I mix at home!!
