I just wanted to let you guys know that you can now fill out your ASCAP application online. Its mad easy and I would suggest anyone that hasn't done so, to do it now.

Stress I registered with BMI and I dont find it all that great . I cant get with the "Manager" of my account or whatever, I mean its only 100 thou people in my region . Is Ascap any better? I know that BMI also has online registration, I just dont find it very simple to "Grasp" what I need to be doing with them after I registered and then how to access it.
I mean we all are dumbfucks the first time we do somthing, until we get it down.

I hear ASCAP is great. PA aka Cleverwon was showin me how it works last week. You can login into your account and check on ya stuff. If ya wanna get paid, they are the people to go thru. Once my membership goes thru, I'll post up how it works.

yeah i went thru trying to register with BMI but got my application sent back because i didnt have music that was released or something. or the release date of the music couldnt be in the future since that album hasnt dropped yet.

is there something like that with ASCAP?

Ironically 5th after registering with BMI I found that I already had a song out...
Some shit I barely remember sitting in the studio on in the late 80's.. I couldnt tell you how it goes if I heard it right now. That guy was ok with me for actually putting my name on it cuz he thought it would do somthing. As I recall I thought that it sucked! lol

I think you do have to be 18 but you can check the website and find out..
I still need to know how to switch from BMI to ascap.

do ascap....BMI is wack...I tried to get out of my BMI agreement several times...I sent in paperwork..they waited..sent it back late and said that I had to wait another 2 years.....it says that a person can sever the agreement at any time but they won't honor that...

yes u can .. but u only register songs that have been released

no u cant sign up until you have done something.... but it doesnt have to be major release or anything like that... if u have done a mixtape or been on college radio or even internet radio u can sign up. If u have performed at any venue (clubs,etc) u can sign up as well.
