What's goin on everyone. So I'm finally on my way to graduating from Full Sail. It's been a long year down in Orlando, but at the same time, it's flown by. I graduate from the recording arts program on August 5th, and I plan on moving out to New York. I got a lotta good looks out there, one of my managers is out there, and I also have a few jobs at studios lined up. All the studios are in Mnahattan, and that's where I'd like to live, but I realize its gonna cost me an arm and a leg. But at the same time, I've looked at places in Brooklyn and Queens and they arent even THAT much cheaper than Manhattan.

Basically for everyone here from New York, where are some nice spots to live in the city. Not just in Manhattan, but in the other boroughs as well. I don't wanna live in the heart of some ghetto, but I cant afford to live on Park Ave. either. What are some nice spots?

Also, besides rent, how's the cost of living as far as Food, Power, Cable, Internet, etc. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Hey man good stuff, im moving to NY this summer also, Im gonna either be workin on wallstreet, or a systems analyist for columbia recrods

Anyway i have been primarly scoping out brooklyn

I found some real dope spots in East New York, BK as well as bedstuy. I actually went to visit holmzini in his crib in bedstuy. THose brown stones were nice(but expensive though)

But in east newyork ive found some good 2 bedroom apts for about 1100 a month which is pretty good. I think im gonna stick with BK. You can find some pretty good spots in BK since its soo big.

Have u thought about hiring a relestate agent, its worth it man, trust me

good luck

if you cant get a decent price in the city you might wanna try jersey and commute to the city

i think its usually cheaper, hoboken jersey city i dont know just naming a few places
some of the north jersey kids on here would know better than me though

but as class said a realestate agent is a good idea

Look in the jersey city/bayonne/newark area. They area literally across the river from manhattan and you can save a couple of bucks. You can hop on the bus, take the train, or even a cab to work.
