I've seen this question asked a couple of times with no answer available. I don't think such a thing exists. Its hard to for any program to single out and extract the voice frequencies from a song with a series of instruments peforming their own range of frequencies.

If its just a quick vocal sample you are looking for, you can play with an equilizer and compresser or limiter to pull the vocals forward from the rest of the song.

If you want a whole song's vocal accapella, you have to search through vinyl singles.

When a program comes out that can effectively seperate vocals from music....you will certainly know about it. Cuz eveyone and their mom will have it.

It's not possible. Many people have asked, but it's just not possible. If you have a song with the vocals panned hard left or right, all by themselves, then yeah you can do it (sort of). But all finished songs are mixed down, with all the instruments and vocals mixed together. The only way to even attempt to remove the vocals is through filtering, but that will just mess up the whole sound, and you'll still have the rest of the sounds in there somewhere.

One way is to buy the master and take them out. Other than that, there are some hardware devices that claim to take out the vocals but like Fade said...they destroy the sound of the music also. The ROLAND SP-808 has a feature that will knock the center channel vocals down to a mere whisper but ALL the background and panned vocals stay. As far as a program doing it, I haven't seen one yet that will.

if the technology ever comes out ill be able to finally use the 35678856556 samples i passed on due to somebody screaming all over it....plus it would allow making hooks with vocal samples a breeze

HELL NO!
The human voice has a good freq range...OK
Instruments have a good freq range also
depending on the instrument..OK
So in order to remove vocals you have to remove the freqs it uses...OK
But doin this will remove the ranges in the instrumentas freq too!
Makin it sound shit-ty.
Ive tryed it before and it works but cus the trak have effects it causes the trak to pan in complete stereo or give it a echo effect thats distant.

Hey,

The karaoke player only does phase inversion+ summing to remove the center channel, it still leaves behind reverbs or other vocal effects left out on the sides.

Take care,

Nick
