i have two samples ,there are 8 guitar strums to each sample and each sample is bars long, i dont like the way each strum comes in, it come in too ''all of a sudden'' i wanan get more of a fade into each strum to make it sound smoother, i tried actually fading in each strum but it changed the punch in time of each sample to much, is there anything i can do with pocessing the dynamics of the sample to get this effect? any particular method i can use? im usin adobe audition too by the way, thanks peace

Yo sucka... hit me up with a .wav file so I can hear what you're talking about. I consider myself pretty good with manipulating samples...

Also, get at me on AIM.... screen name's dantson or dmoneywiggles, either one.

...just change the attack of the strums slightly..

it's not that it's attack is set wrong, its the delay. The time of the delay in the echo/reverb isn't enough to get a good hit. It's like the unintentional version of how you take a clap for a snare, and have it set with an echo of like 4 milliseconds, it makes it sound like 3 or 4 different claps all at the same time, but really sloppy.

For drums, it's great. For instrumental, it sucks fucking goat cheese.

attack adjusts at what point the instrument/sample comes in while compressing/fading its predecesor.. thus making it come in faster or slower while not being punchy. unless u have some bad sampler.. should work.

Get bastard to send you the .wav file... You'll see what I'm talking about.

Then again I was drunk off my ass when I tried to mess with it last night... so maybe I'm wrong.

2.0.... I assume you mean audition lol!

In regards of the sampling a wet signal, have a good look at the wave, you be looking for amplitude peaks representing the original dry signal with smaller peaks resembling the delays. If the wave is short then perhaps recycle can cut for ya nicely.

Pop that shit my way, control_terminus@hotmail.com .

Il be using 8.0

nah, dont think so unless there's an envelope in there (I think you'll have to do with the sample start/end/level).
i still cant believe thsi 400$ machine has chromatic pitch shift and the 1000$ mpc 1k didnt . fuckin companys makin loot off their name alone

yeah, but the mpc1k has a full adsr ( envelope ) and your 400$ machine doesnt, something you'd wish you had now lol! I think the only thing you can do is set the start point so that is matches the speed of strum in sync over the beat...
