I'm on there and they have some cool widgets but I haven't used the fairshare. I won't probably think about using anything like that until I finish a full album.

just joined reverbnation, don't fuck with their fairshare plan as of yet because you get paid when your balance is 20 or more based on viewed ads, and i'm sure they give like .05 cents per clicked add like alot of others. and on top of the you can't get paid till at LEAST 60 days after registration. so if you wanna get paid soon off this you should register 2 months ago

im just curious about what to watch out for. i dont want to unexpectedly owe them money. i wouldnt count on the money to provide for my family or nothin but alittle never hurts.

Yeah the fairshare thing will not pay you out for decades unless you get national plays in the tens of thousands everyday.
Ive been on it for 5 years like I said and joined the fairshare thing maybe about 2 years ago, and ive earned like 5 bucks thus far haha.....

yeah, it's for those that already have a big fanbase and therefore will check the page, play the tracks, etc. having it viewed at other sites like myspace will net you some pennies, unless of course you again have a significant following or are steady with the adding, announcements containing the widget, or spamming (just say no to spamming). the problem with myspace is too many never leave it to go to another site and most won't take the time to check other music players.

subscribe but don't expect much, fairshare is not something most producers/beatmakers can really benefit from, but it won't hurt or cost you a thing.

instead concentrate on their wicked widgets, which you can use on your own site, myspace, officially on facebook and freewebs. as well as, setting it up to sell you're stuff via a digital distributor, even ones not listed (i was using mybeatshop one sometime ago last year just to see how it integrated into the widgets).
