any sp1200 users

I had an SP12 and sold it to Drumatic<---- about 8 months ago I have an sp1200 on the way though I just had a few questions on this classic piece, I know the sp12 is virtually identical except for the mem and the disk drive...but I just need some questions answered from another user

Why are you using one of those? I mean it's a classic yeah, but so is an 808, but you can just import 808 wavs for a sampler. And how much does it cost?

good choice sp 1200 is the best soundin machine i ever used and i tried them all but i hope u got a rack mount sampler to use with it cause its basically i drum sampler get a akai s 950 with it and thats all u would need

Yeah I had an S950 b4 too and sold that so what i am doing though is making loops and sampling live drums into it and then using the samples in my computer sequences, i got some old dats and stuff from live studio drummers I just dumped to my adat from protool.....also my vinyl hits, loops and chopped stuff goes into there for some good ol 12 bit processing, what I wanted to know though was on my sp12 sometimes sounds like the hi hat would sometimes double or get cut off when I would sequence sometime...I wanted to know does this happen on the 1200...I have all of the software just about known to man when I had to sell off all of my studio equipment now I have found a way to take both my hardware and software and maximize my setup...

ah ok i see your question now, my bad. I never had this happen to me... and i dont know why shit would double up. But if it cuts off, it may be a polyphony issue. I can't remember how many sounds it lets u play at a time but that may be what's making it cut off. Other than that i got no idea homeboy. I see you using the sp12, I had the sp1200... maybe that bitch is just old man i dunno??
