The word hater originated out here in the Bay Area. Not ATL or Chilly Copenhagen. Your just part of the people who twist it and think any negative atittude or comments is hating. Its not. Your getting it confused. When I say Lil' Jon sucks its an opinion regardless if it will prevoke another person. Hating would be if I told a A&R he sucked right before he got his deal so he wouldn't get one. Hating involves me gaining something from speaking bad about that person. I'm not gaining anything by saying he sucks on Illmuzik.com. (its a opinion) The only thing it does is make people like you upset and twist the real definition of hating.

It seems that you have it twisted, I'm not part of the people who think that any negative attitude is hating. My comments did not refer to the word "hater" but simply that saying "hate", "suck", "garbage" etc are stronger words than dislike, which covers your opinion just as well. Also, to me, those words are more negative and therefore gives off the same vibe. Therefore, I feel it's unnecessary to use those words, especially when I know that others interpret those words as strong words too, and if they like the artist in question, will feel very provoked.
I'm just a positive, happy person who wishes that this site will be serious and at a comfortable, relaxed level. A wish which is challenged everytime someone uses those words and it causes a heated debate in these forums.
Though, to speak on what you said, I don't feel that an action has to be envolved for it to be hate. In regards to speaking on artists, I feel that hate is when you don't just hate the song but the person who made it too, which I feel is ridiculous if you don't personally know the person. There may be a certain Bay area definition of "hater", though everybody is not from the Bay area and a Dane, like myself, who don't really use/know american slang will have to go by the Websters definition; "To feel hostility or animosity toward", and that to me, is to go over the top with your opinion.

I feel its unnecessary to use your choice of words. I'm also provoked by your words. I wish this site can let people freely discuss there opinions with out people reffering to it as hating regardless if its negative or positive. A wish which is challenged everytime someone disagrees with an opinion they don't like and it causes a heated debate. ( it goes both ways Copenhagen)

I reffering to the meaning hater which is slang. Not the websters dictionary. It is deep rooted from the Bay. You know how a webster dictionary sometimes says from the latin word "_____" ..... Its like that.
I'm speaking about where it originated from and how it came about.(the slang word) But its your opinion. I respect that. But if I say thats "Bad" ..... in the dictionary it means "More inferior, as in quality, condition, or effect." But I really mean its good. You know how slang works. Its just that people who really don't know what it means abuse the word. And in my opinion I think a lot of people on Illmuzik.com do just that. I'm just trying to give some of ya'll game and Let you know the true meaning.

This is not to take this any further but you quote me out of context. "Therfore", means something comes before that, which you left out and what I said after therefore looses it's full meaning. Anyway, to repeat myself, my opinion had absolutely nothing to do with if people hate or not, because I don't care, I truly don't. I care about this site and if you honestly look at many of the current threads that have turned into heated debates, you will see that many of them are due to the words with which some people choose to express themselves. This is what I'm against. I don't visit any of Illmuzik's competitors because many of their threads get out of hand or contain too many stupid remarks. Illmuzik doesn't and that's why I chose to stay on this site and therefore won't let people turn it into any of the other sites. If people want that kind of site, there are many others they can choose, wheras I, and others, only have this site.
I can't understand how my words provoke you, whereas I understand why people are provoked by words such as "hate", "sucks" or "garbage". Also, if "hater" is a Bay area term and means something else there, which it doesn't many other places, then your meaning of the word isn't universal, however, this site is.
Furthermore, I don't mean to abuse the word, I'm not calling you a hater at all, I'm just referring to the way it seems many people understand words like "hate", "sucks", "garbage" etc and that's very negative and therefore seems to strong words.
Anyway, I understand what you're saying and feel no need to discuss this any further. My only suggestion was that people think more about what they say and how they express themselves as people understand/associate some words differently than others (mostly words with a strong meaning) and these seem to cause debate, which I'll prefer to be without. ;)

So you can say; "I hate Lil Jon's music, but he is a swell guy!" This would define me as a "non hater"? lol

Basically you just have to sugar coat everything on this site. You can speak how you really feel, but they want you to use a more softer words. ( THATS WACK! ) This is Hip Hop, not Classical Music. When I speak with harsh words and you don't like it, don't comment! Leave it alone! Because in my eyes If I'm hating, then your hating on me hating. Make sense???? Think about it. If you don't like what I have to say ignore it. Move on to another thread. Or comment on something else, since you want to live in a unrealistic world of perfection and happieness. I have my opinions and so do you, but I feel like as a moderator you should stop provoking other people because you don't like what they say.

We're not asking people to sugar coat their words, just keep things sensible and follow the rules. If you say FUCK SHIT MUTHAFUCKA I don't care, just make sense of what you're saying and get your point across.
