OK, SO NOW THAT I M MAKING BEATS PRETTY WELL I WANNA MOVE ON TO MAKING REMIXES OF SONGS....HERE R A FEW QUESTION FOR EVERYONE...
1. I DON'T HAVE A TURNTABLE....SO WHERE CAN I GET ACCAPPELLA OF HIP HOP SONGS?????....WEBSITES, TRADE...ETC...?????

2. WHAT DO I USE TO MATCH THE TEMPO OF ONE OF MY BEATS TO THE ACCAPPELS??? I'M FIGURING JUST BY EAR YOU CAN MATCH IT, NOT A BIG DEAL.

3. wHAT DO U USE TO PUT THE ACCAPELLA OVER A BEAT....DO U USE A TURNTABLE WITH THE ACCAPPELA, THEN BURN UR BEAT TO CD AND MIX EM....IF SO, THIS IS A HARD WAY OF DOING IT.....ANY OTHER IDEAS....I HAVE A 16 TRACK SEUENCER PROGRAM.....SHOULD I LAY MY BEAT DOWN ON 1 TRACK...AND THE ACCAPPELLA ON 1 TRACK..........BUT THEN HOW THE HELL DO I MATCH THE TEMPOS...........

MAN I NEED HELP GETTIN MY SHIT STR8..........HELP ME PLEASE..THIS PRODUING SHIT IS A NEVER-ENDING LEARNING MORE SHIT JOURNEY...LOL....HOLLA AT ME......1

1. Check your PM box.

2. Yes, if you djed before (and i mean, beatmatchin djed) it can be done by ear, but some people it takes time to get it so you know whether the vocals are too far ahead or if the beat is too far ahead. BPM counters i dont think work very good on accapellas, so youll probly hafto learn to do it by ear.

3.

Yea. That would work fine. But the way you would put the beat ahead or the vocals ahead, is cut up your vocals into sections, and /or timestretch your accapella to match the beat.

Feel free to ask any questions.

When i remix songs I always match the tempo by playing the original song over a snare or somethin till i get the tempo perfect. Sometimes matching them up is real easy and some times it can get a lil tricky. Just keep messing with it. I only use fruity tho, so I cant help ya with hardware.

i jus make my beats first then find an acapella around the same speed, but my beat and the acapella on cool edit then mix em. you can speed up the acapella without changin the pitch on cool edit by goin to effects, time/ stretch, and then preserve pitch. then you can speed it up or slow it down.
