This is def one of the more entertaining threads.. I hate baseball, I use it for a sleep aid.. The only way I can watch it is to actually GO to a game then you can watch all the people which, to me, is far more entertaining than the game.
However I think this thread is far more entertaining than either... Okay Ima get the hell out of the way now, but you guys are a trip...

cause he be on some dumb shit...like "the Yankees suck".....umm no they don't. If he'd say "I hate the Yankees", then I'd be like...well they probably don't like you either. But to say that the Yankees suck just leaves you subject to major abuse! That's just a stupid thing to say about the most successful franchise in the history of American Sports. Especially when they're in 1st place (as usual) and your team has pretty much packed it in because.....well, Boston sucks.

How bout David Ortiz "Big PeePee", I'm sorry Big Papi talkin shit about how Derek Jeter doesn't deserve the MVP award. Jeter said he doesn't care cause "we still got something to play for"....meaning PLAYOFFS. And a day later Ortiz is coppin a plea.

Big Papi does
big retreat

BALTIMORE - David Ortiz has made an effort to douse a firestorm he created with remarks about the MVP race that were perceived as digs at Derek Jeter. The Boston slugger has reached out in several ways to let the Yankee captain, his biggest rival in the MVP chase, know he was never critical of his candidacy.
The two had not yet spoken last night, but the message had been delivered. It probably won't be enough to keep Ortiz from playing the lightning rod in the first meaningless September series between the ancient rivals in five years.

"Nothing more I can do about it now," he told the Daily News.

Ortiz, the AL leader in home runs (48) and RBI (127), was obviously upset Tuesday to have been painted as disparaging Jeter to further his own candidacy.

"That's not me," Ortiz said. "That's not what I'm about. ... That guy is one of my favorite players. You never talk (trash) about Derek Jeter, bro. It's wrong."

Ortiz said in an interview with the Boston Globe that "Jeter is not a 40-homer hitter or RBI guy" and "the bottom line is the guy who hits 40 homers and knocks in 100, that's the guy you know helped your team win."

He insisted Tuesday, after other media outlets portrayed the remarks as self-serving digs at his rival, that he was explaining how he philosophically believes the MVP should go to a power hitter.

Ortiz also said he used Alex Rodriguez's 2003 MVP for the last-place Rangers to underscore the importance of power hitters winning the prize, and not to suggest his candidacy shouldn't be hurt by the Sox dropping out of contention.

"(They) made me look stupid," Ortiz said of the stories that appeared Tuesday.

Ortiz is probably right about one thing: he's going to be the object of every Yankee fan's hostility this weekend.

hahahaha....David Ortiz is on Derek Jeter's dick!

you're right....real talk...when Ortiz copped a plea REAL quick...
you know the only reason he opened his mouth is cause of jealousy...which is a female trait....

these FAGS from Boston are always so concerned w/ what we're doin in NY. Maybe if they payed more attention to what THEY were doing they'd have a shot to make the playoffs. Ortiz cryin about an MVP race that he hasn't even lost yet. All Jeter had to say was in essence..."who cares, we still have something to play for"...all that's left for Boston is an MVP award...for a DH. If Ortiz does get it (which he probably won't) congrats....now sit ya fat ass on the couch and watch Jeter lead his team to their 5th World Series since 1996 bitch!

Fuel? As I stated in Bastard's thread...good for him. It really is an accomplishment. But let's call it what it is...it's the last "hooray" on an otherwise dissappointing season for Boston. I mean the Boston Massacre II was really the end of their season. But Ortiz did break a record for homers for the Redsox franchise...so congrats to him. Now sit back, relax and enjoy watching the Yankees win World Series #27.
