if anyone's on the lookout for a good cheap program for cutting up samples, take a look at this program called goldwave:

i just downloaded the demo and it rules -- really quick and easy cutting up and previewing of samples. it doesn't have much in the way of effects but it has enough of the basic filter/pitch/reverb/delay/eq-type fx to do basic cutting up of samples. it's $49 so lots cheaper than audition, and imho much quicker and easier to run through edits...

Ha ha ha ha. I first started makig beats in goldwave, back in 96 or 97 :d cutting and pasting directly into the soundeditor

I like that lil program. It's cool.
