a question about a certain sound...

im new here, so hello everyone and i hope this is in the right place! im trying to find a certain sound, but it is proving to be troublesome. - this track has the sound i am looking for. that atmospheric sound that you hear through out. fyi this is NOT my track. can someone help me identify that sound? i guess it would be the rhythm part of the song. thanks!

It sounds like a basic synth pad played as chords. Maybe they cut some of the high frequencies of it for it sound a bit "softer."
