I disagree with the statement text Emcee's don't need beats. They may just not have access to producers! Some Emcee's start out just being writters....ask Stresswon or read his BIO (that'll get 'em!!!!!) This could bring the two together! If this brings a gang of Emcee's then we're dropin' complete songs and records. Peeps have already brought up the idea of Ill getting into promoting and putting out records on the indie level. This could be another link in that chain.
I've Emcee'd and still do. Most who do started out writting first yes, probably poetry?

you completely missed the point. . lol did u read the post i made before that one? again, i've been on emcee forums, one the tourneys, even the text tourneys blah blah, but More often than not, Text MC's are Text MC's because they lack the equipemtn or availability to record. therefor why would they purchase a beat when they can write lyrics to a beat off soundclick or an instrumental track.
and usually you can't judge someone's flow by text.
Poetry has flow, but its usually not rythmatic in the same essence as a hip hop song. I used to write poetry, got published in a book.. i know all about poetry man, I even write songs in Iambic Pentameter sometimes.
the point is. . . a textcee section on a producer forum is a bad look in my opinion.. i just think it should be audio, cuz i like you're idea
