A bunch of random questions...

I've had a few difficulties and questions i've been able to solve recently, so I figured the collective minds around here are the best place to ask. so, here goes...

I use FL6 with an MPD16. I have two things that kind of bug me about my setup. The MPD has a slight delay from when the pad is hit and when the sound plays, maybe a tenth of a second, but enough for it to matter. Recording to the step sequencer kinda defeats the purpose of having the MPD for me, and I have ASIO4ALL but it doesnt show up on the device list.
The other thing is that when i toss a sample into the slicer, the different cuts only play as long as i hold the pad down.
If these two issues cant be resolves it might be enough to push me to change formats. Does an MPC play the sample all the way through once chopped up?

another question; I recently got a mixer so i could finally use a CDJ ive had for a while to its full potential. the fader doesn't 'click' when it's centered. i was wondering if this is normal or if i should replace it. this might be a dumb question and i'd go check other mixers myself but there are no music stores in proximity.

thank everyone for bothering to read this and thanks to anyone kind enough to respond!

i think i can handle 2 out of 3 here.

For the mixer you bought.. the fader isn't suppose to click when its in the center. it shouldnt effect the sound to the point where the mix is comming out off balanced, as long as its in a general "center" position you should be fine. i've never heard of a mixer that clicks in the center but that could just be me.

if you want the sample to be played all the way through by hitting the pad once, set the samples release settings to full. On the FL Slicer, select the INS tab, then under the volume catagory, find the knob on the very right that says "rel". It stands for release, turn it to the right and it should play the sample to the end from wherever your slice starts.

The other thing sounds like you have latency issues but i'm not familiar with troubleshooting that.

Thanks a lot. I don't think i've seen faders that click either, but having limited access/exposure to them i figured i'd check. Thanks a lot for clearing up how to get the samples to play through too, much appreciated

About the only thing you can do to eliminate the latency issue, is Get rid of the USB, And get a midi interface. I learned to live with it for now.

Asio4All dont show up under Option's / Audio setting's? Should show up under output.
