808 Bass in Reason

hey guys,

I am using Reason 5 (don't judge me) and am trying to produce a good sub bass for trap music etc. using Thor.

the only issue I am having is a hissing sound i can hear in the tone any time I play in the lower register.

here is the tone I am producing right now



I want to have a clean sub so am wondering how to get rid of this sound to produce a nice clean sub as in this one



PLz help! I have messed with Filters and EQs to no avail. this seems to be a very common sound in most Sub bass samples you can find on the internet which is why I am trying to make the bass with thor

Have you tried the 808 preset in Thor instead of building it from scratch? Also share the patch you made if you like and I would be happy to take a look.

If you used Thor maybe you wouldn't think subbass was such a pain in reason. Also that patch you recommend is NOT an 808 as requested. Seriously Thor has an 808 preset that sounds fantastic!

What I like to use is reason sub base and an 808 kick together
once I process them reason 9 has this bounce feature and Ijust bounce it to next track or bounce to new sample and than load it up in my own sampler!
