Thats a publicity stunt for both artist to sell records...simple as that...Hip Hop has turned into a soap opera/reality(fake) show. Two years from now everybody will "squash the beef and sell more records.
You know, I think you're right SkidFlow. It seems to be a publicity stunt. Here's my theory:
Now whether or not the conversation is real is not the point. I believe 50 dropped the recorded conversations because he wants to take away from Lil' Wayne's press cycle.
Lil' Wayne has been dominating the press cycle, especially in hip-hop publications with the success of his album.
This way, 50 enters the press cycle, takes press away from Weezy and makes himself relevant in this stupid fashion.
He did a publicity stunt with Kanye, he can't stand to stay out of the spotlight. He's following the rules of 48 Laws of Power and Niccolo Machiavelli to a "T". He's smart, but it's annoying.
Yes, it's on the frontpage of MySpace now. It's contrived. 50 couldn't let Weezy shine for a little longer.
As for Buck, I don't know his fate - I think 50 thinks in the bigger picture. He has competition with Kanye AND Weezy now.
