Thats a publicity stunt for both artist to sell records...simple as that...Hip Hop has turned into a soap opera/reality(fake) show. Two years from now everybody will "squash the beef and sell more records.

You know, I think you're right SkidFlow. It seems to be a publicity stunt. Here's my theory:

Now whether or not the conversation is real is not the point. I believe 50 dropped the recorded conversations because he wants to take away from Lil' Wayne's press cycle.

Lil' Wayne has been dominating the press cycle, especially in hip-hop publications with the success of his album.

This way, 50 enters the press cycle, takes press away from Weezy and makes himself relevant in this stupid fashion.

He did a publicity stunt with Kanye, he can't stand to stay out of the spotlight. He's following the rules of 48 Laws of Power and Niccolo Machiavelli to a "T". He's smart, but it's annoying.

Yes, it's on the frontpage of MySpace now. It's contrived. 50 couldn't let Weezy shine for a little longer.

As for Buck, I don't know his fate - I think 50 thinks in the bigger picture. He has competition with Kanye AND Weezy now.

Buck Gone Get Some Shine From This Because He Gonna Come With The Sincere Ass Ryhmes That Everyone Is Gonna Be So Anxious To Hear. In My Opinion Young Buck Can Never Make Another Bullshit Ass Gangta Song Again. Everytime He Come Out It Gonna Have To Be On Some Ole Sentimental Shit...in Other Words He's Gonna Have To Become A More Serious Artist Which Means Damn Near Changing His Image. As For 50...he Gonna Just Wear His Welcome Out Totally One Day With This Annoying Shit. To Me With Al The Cheese He Got...50 Is No Longer "beleivable "to Me. He Just Another Mega Super Star Rapper Rappin About Shit He Will No Longer Do Because He Got "moneys Momma"

Young Buck
Young Buck is a sacrifice. 50 threw him under the bus for publicity. Buck wasn't even a profitable artist for G-Unit anymore (like the others are?... lol). 50's basically reducing overhead. He stays loyal to Yayo and Banks because those are his homies from the hood. Young Buck is pretty much over.

Money Matters
50 understands that a large portion of his income is based on the fact that he is a superstar rapper and retains a semblance of cool or "keeping it real." He has to draw publicity to himself because so many businesses are invested in his brand name, like Reebok and the countless other deals.

He has to stay on top, because another savvy rapper with a good manager, like Lil' Wayne, can take his top spot. Lil' Wayne can come out with clothing lines, etc., that will hurt G-Unit's sales. Lil' Wayne can sell Vitamin Water too. Baby will run the business end of things for him. Lil' Wayne is hot right now and 50 knows it. 50's scared that someone will start taking chunks out of his empire.

This Buck situation shows that he is capable of doing whatever it takes to stay on top.
