honestly i dont see whats so powerful abuot either quote. i'm not trying to discredit you or anything, just saying that a few quotes, these in particular aent really going to turn anyones game around

as far as al's quote, most cats take from their idols anyhow. it's kind of stating the obvious. most guys study their favorite producers, musicians, etc... nothing really groundbreaking there

dj qwik, well i get where he's going with that and all, but it's almost overcomplicating the issue. for one, the vast majority of succesful artists are simply follwing a current trend or updating an older one. most A&R types will tell you to "bring me something along the likes of so and so". hey,i was asked to do some Alchemist-type work- but with "my flavor". there is such small amount of true innovators, but everyone borrows somewhere down the line.

truthfully? if you want to be successful, its about who you know, the connections you establish and relationships you develop. it's a rare breed that gets discovered just because someone important ran across his website, saw him rapping in a parking lot, etc... success has as much to do with your connections as it does creating interesting and enguaging music.

my advice is to just create the best music you possibly can and get your grind on.

my advice would be to stick to your gunz and make music that YOU feel and fuc what the hatas say.

also i would say to treat producing like a career not a hobby ... network and create opportunities for yourself because regardless of how hot you are money doesnt come knocking on your door u gotta go out and find those opportunities.

i agree, thats not a great ACL quote. but the dude does say some tight things. a couple of my favorites:
