some softsyths are the exact same math as the hardware so its the same stuff. It also make life easier as far a saving goes. The best piano sounds I have ever heard is from ivory, software only. Lots of thoughts here, much of it is personal preference, some of the more flexible amps are the Randall RM20B because the MTS module thing is great and the Bogner Custom Shop Shiva 1x12 Combo with Reverb Both amps are amazing but cost a bit more. You know I am a guitar nut, I hate the POD's. The distortion sounds like crap. The best amp sim ever is Eleven from digi. If you are not a pro tools user. Check out Revalver or GTR. yes I automate EQ's, but sometimes it seems I need a nice hardware EQ like the chandler units with the stuff is that bad. Why no Vocalign? It rocks. Also have you checked out the new melodyne music DNA stuff? AMAZING!- thedreampolice
