@Dac, you can start to have small phasing issues with even a different compressor on the track. Dox is right, you really need to have a phase meter or really listen as you mix to make this work. But when it works it sounds fantastic!- thedreampolice

No Dac's tip is awesome, and can really make a huge sound. This is a trick that you hear on top 40 bass lines all day long. You just need to know what you are doing.- thedreampolice

This is a great tip, the only issue to worry about is phasing, this is actually an old engineering trick. oh yea, Ableton rocks. For mixing a band, I still like PT better. But man ableton treats audio like a rubber band, its awesome!- thedreampolice

Does machine have a multitrack recorder or any way to record other than sampling? Nope that is what a DAW by definition is. Maschine is a sequencer/sampler NOT A DAW or let me make this even clearer If you cant record a live band in it, it is not a DAW- thedreampolice
