How do you know your beat is hot?
I know a beat is complete when I can play it start-to-finish and I switch to "MC Mode" and begin to formulate concepts and freestyle to it. If something bothers me with the track then I can't vibe to it, so that's when I know its "ready" -

Its Not Wha You Got But How You Use It
Honestly, I wish my setup was, I think I enjoyed music a whole lot more when I was recording to a 4 track tape recorder, and even more so when we used to make songs off other instrumentals. -
