    A publisher seems like an odd thing to look for at this stage. What are you trying to accomplish? and I agree about the producer thing, seems like the term has even lost meaning. Currently I am using the title "Sonic Manipulator" :)

    Depends, is this an established artist or a nobody? If they are established than YES. If the song sells less than 50k units you are probably ok on not getting clearance. If you are signing away rights I would still think about a lawyer.

    ha ha, sorry I have quite a few sound designer friends that make Reason Refills, Live packs ETC and they for the most part say that Live packs make sell the best. I was wondering if that was the same for you.

    Well I am a big believer in using the tools you are given to make music. They (2k,60,3000) do sound very different but the workflow even on the 2K is So slooooooow compared to Maschine/REN that I personally am really getting over hardware in general. Also I can emulated that sound with software...

    Pretty simple, the 3000 does not have 16bit ad/da and it was the last MPC designed by Roger Linn, so the 2x does have a totally different sound.

    #1 are you using any samples? If so man you need some clearance. #2 Do you have a lawyer? If not get one. If you are selling beats there will be contracts. Get someone on your team! #3 The right answer to how much, is as much as you can! You don't want to price yourself out of the market...
