Word. Try to bypass the maximizer though and monitor your signals the same way to make sure to not clip without it on and then once your mix is complete - turn it back on. That way your gain structure will be a lot more even. -

Just copped a ART MPA GOLD dual preamp w/ (2) replacement 12ax7s to swap for the chinese stock tubes. Nothin to brag about really considering the obvious, but its still better than not having anything to run my signals through before they hit my DAW. Plus ive read nothing but good reviews... -

Yeah, leave them at 0 (or flat). Those knobs in the back are there to help compensate for poor listening environments. Your better off leaving things flat so you know what your getting in your mix. -

Which Mic?
Yeah I bought the trigger finger initially and wasn't that impressed by the pads. I wanted a denser rubber like the ones on the MPD. Although those pads will die. Trust me on that. IF their the same ones as the 1000 which they seem to be, then yeah - those things will start diein on you eventually. -
