    my set up is a pc, FL studio, shitload of vst's and soundfonts, a shecter electric guitar, a mackie mixer, and protools le for mixing. I dont use any midi controllers, only piano roll, theres no limitations with it. I know i'm cheap but it works well for me,

    Trilogy is the only bass vst that is the worth the money. its like 400 bucks though. I'd just suggest gettin an ill soundfont, there are many on the internet for free download. You can usually manipulate a bass soundfont to sound good as long as it decays well.

They have full strings, octave strings, and marracota, and pizzicato strings, its only $35 for the rgistered version...
