    Acoustic Treatment

Yes and you probably need to look at defusers as well to keep the sounds from bouncing around those parallel walls. I think you can get a free trial of some good software here http://www.odeon.dk/ should be enough time to build the room.

    Acoustic Treatment

yea when I was doing studio design at Sweetwater I sold both Primacsoutics and Auralex, both are great. I would get MoPad's FOR SURE though and with that budget grab some bass traps. There is software to help map all this stuff....let me see if I can find it.

    LOUDNESS

Mixing a low volume is preferred actually, you don't fry your ears, everything sounds good loud anyway so it's not always the best way to mix. Just gain stage correctly and you should be good to go.

    LOUDNESS

    LOUDNESS

I use Reason for most of my music making and I have mastered in it. I do LOVE mixing in it as well. For example I mixed and mastered this in Reason But these days I use Studio One for mastering and its just amazing for that kind of work. Proper mastering is an art in itself and takes quite a...

I like both styles a lot and slightly prefer boom bap I suppose, and lyrics with a message hands down. Although I went to a lil Wayne concert this weekend and holy shit he rocked it.

    What is the best DAW?

All of them can get the job done. Fl is a great place to start. Reaper is cheap and powerful. The best DAW is the one you know the best.

    Hardware Synths

You know software for amp sims is soooo good these days I will either use software or a real amp, no need for any hardware emulators. Maybe the fractal audio stuff. But look at BIAS or Amplitude 4 or Eleven for Pro tools. But Sgear is the best one out right now.

    Hardware Synths

I love hardware but with software synths like Diva and Native Instruments Monark I just don't see a huge need for hardware synths.
