Man the only way to avoid dissapointment by finding out that a hit wasn't original but a jacked sample is 1 get some musical grounding in chords etc.....and start making your own melodies and copyright them......if you have any old school aunts or uncles say from the 70's or eighties I bet you...

    Westcoast

I wouldn't say Dre is washed up....he's still in very high demand in the industry for tracks and other projects just as or marketable than the younger counterparts the Neptunes...so I wouldn't quite put him in the washed up realm there really aren't any producers right now that can fugg with him...

big time producers hiring musicians to reproduce sequences

bottom line is sampling is very risky if your work accidentally surfaces in the public domain you're open to getting the big lawsuit ...I know, I know it wouldn't be hip hop without sampling but.....I have attended a few workshops on sampling, even if you filter it's still risky, and on Dre with...

wont murder-inc style samplin finish all of da non-renewable sources of samples?

Well I know one of the old producer/engineers on the team back from the days of Vita and they use a helluva lot of samples, but I don't think that will happen though LOL.... I mean the only way styles will sound the same if people live in the same thought box and bite....that's it because even...

    RZA and MP-7???

Well look that piece is ok but the sounds are too distinct, overprocessed and plastic....some like it I only like the sequencer and a few of the sounds, the mpc is much better because the sound possibilities are endless with samples...this thing is ok but I sold mine...I would get one to use as...

    A Very Thin Line...Agree or Not ???

Sample it or get busy making UR own vinyl As much as I can't stand sampling, hip hop music is nothing without it, you had better have some good creativity and be able to form good melodies on your own then and on top of that come up with something different every time (and yes resampling your...
